The following is a transcription of the outer board at the Heritage Centre, made when the board was last checked. If the board and this page differ, the board is the authority. The board can be read at any hour, and it is the first thing to look at if you arrive when the desk is shut.

• The Colliery Inn remains closed for refurbishment. See the inn.
• The eastern loop is not advised for a first visit. See path closures.
• Sunday tea: as numbers allow. Ask at the desk when open.
• Holders of the 2003 leaflet should read the correction. The sheet is not always on the board; it is with the leaflets when we have it.
• No through sign from the north. Approach as in Getting Here. See brown signs.
• The outer board is the authority if this page differs.
