The Green Man Trail

The Green Man Trail is the parish walk, and it is the walk we are proudest of. It starts at the Heritage Centre, visits the memorial garden and the church, takes a line through the trees with the forest fence for a companion, and returns to the green by a different way, arriving at the hall. The advertised distance is about four miles. The measured line in current use is three and three-quarter miles. The eastern continuation is extra, and is not part of that figure.

Waymarker. Some posts are missing; continue as the path suggests.

It is moderate walking, with stiles. Boots in winter. The trail remains fully accessible in the sense that the main line is not closed. Some markers are due for renewal; the path itself is the guide where a face has faded. Read notices before you start, and take the leaflet if the desk is open.
