A visit to Plashetts is a walk, a look at the centre, and, in season, a cup of tea at the hall. There is no programmed entertainment in the ordinary week, and that is part of the attraction. What there is depends on whether the buildings are open and on the state of the paths, and there is always the green, and always the trees.

Allow half a day for the main paths if you are used to moderate walking, and longer if you mean to take the eastern continuation or to sit with the labels in the gallery. Read current notices before you leave the green; the board is kept for that purpose.

The mining collection once listed as a separate museum is in the centre, in the main room of the former school. The old museum page is retained as a note for those still using older addresses.
