Armstrong's

Armstrong's is the photograph shop, on the lane past Forest View, toward the trees, next door to The Ginger Cat. The painted sign says Armstrong's. It has been on the lane for as long as most of us remember. It is not a grocer. Film is sold and developed, colour and black-and-white. Framing is done. Wedding photographs are taken, and albums made up. Copying, of prints and of papers. Faxes. The counter will tell you the prices.

Developing left in the morning is usually ready the next afternoon, except Monday, when the shop is shut. Enprints and a contact sheet if you ask. Frames in stock are the ordinary sizes; a special size is a week. Wedding dates should be spoken for early in the season. Mr Armstrong prefers to be asked at the counter, not by letter to this office.

The Camera Club meets upstairs, first Thursday of the month, at half past seven. The shop is shut for the meeting; the side door is used. Prints hung by the club are shown here.
