The post office
Last updated: 11 January 2006
The post office is a sub-office in a front room on the green, the cottage with the red sign. It is not a shop. Stamps, pensions, parcels, and the ordinary counter work of a small place. Milk, bread and a paper are still more readily found in Falstone. Letters for this office should go to the Heritage Centre, not to the post office.

The sub-office, from the green. The red sign is the one. The box is on the wall, to the left of the door.
Two mornings: Tuesday and Thursday. The hours are nine until twelve. Last collection from the box on those days is a quarter past twelve. On other days the box is emptied when the van comes through, which is not a time we print. If you have a parcel, bring it on a morning the counter is open. Recorded and special delivery can be done; ask at the counter, not at this desk.

| Other days | The box only; the van when it comes |
The building society keeps a morning at the same counter, Thursday, from ten. It is not a second counter. The clerk is not always the same clerk. Next door but one, toward the inn, is the book shop; it is not a grocer either. There is a step at the post-office door. Telephone: 01669 000000, on the mornings it is open.
