Where to Stay

Last updated: 22 April 2004

Plashetts is not a large place, and that is the character of a stay here. Rooms are few. The nights are quiet. You should arrange somewhere before travelling; there is no tourist booking system on this website, and letters are collected twice a week.

At present
  • The Colliery Inn — closed for refurbishment; rooms not offered
  • Forest View — two rooms, by arrangement with Miss A. Ridley
  • Camping — field behind the hall, summer, by arrangement

How to ask for a room is described under booking. The nearest further beds are outside the parish, in Kielder and toward Bellingham, and those offices will tell you their own hours. This office does not take bookings for those. Breakfast at Forest View is part of the arrangement; there is no evening meal in the village while the inn is closed, and Falstone is the practical supper.
