The inn sign

The inn sign remains down. A note of 12 April 2004 records that it is to remain down until the licence position is clear, and that the Easter reopening will not now take place. No further notice has been given. The frontage is unchanged, and it still faces the green.

The building is not serving. Rooms are not offered. The telephone number previously published is no longer in use. See the Colliery Inn.

Visitors who remember the sign from an earlier year will find the house where it was. The hall is at the near end of the green. The centre is the stone building with the porch.
