The older rows

Several older rows were taken out of use in the 1960s. The present village layout dates from this period. That is the form of words used in our dates. It is not a complete account of every building, and it will serve for a first visit.

What stands now is the green, the hall, the former school, the church, the inn (closed for refurbishment), a handful of houses, and Seldom Seen on the old approach. The names on the older sheets are Stone Row, Shop Row, Wood Row and Tile Row, along the waggonway, with the chapel at the west end. The rows that were taken out are not marked for visitors; the gallery has photographs, which are the way to see them.
