The registers
Last updated: 9 May 2005
The parish registers are a matter for written enquiry. They are not searched by electronic mail as a matter of course. Enquiries may be left at the Heritage Centre and are dealt with when they can be. We do not arrange genealogical visits, and we do not open the church for that purpose outside the hours already announced. The building is small, and the hours are the hours.
Names on stones in the churchyard include names also found on the mining memorial. The two are not a complete roll, and they are a good place to stand. Rubbings are not permitted, in the yard or from the carving in the chancel.
The lower gate is not always unbolted. Keep to the gravel. See the church.
