If you reach the water

Kielder Water is one of the pleasures of this country, and visitors who have come as far as the shore have come to a fine place. There is a ferry in season, landings, a castle, and walks of its own. It is a separate attraction, and the operators of those facilities keep their own hours. This office is glad to see a day made of both.

Plashetts stands in the forested country of the same valley. The present approach is the valley road. The old incline is a mining remnant and is not laid out as a walk up from the shore. There is no public landing for Plashetts; the operators of the water keep their own landings. See the water.

Parking, when you arrive, is at the hall, not on the green. The bench is there if you have come a long way.
