Booked groups

Last updated: 21 March 2006

Booked groups may use the Heritage Centre on Monday by arrangement. It is a good day for a party: the gallery to themselves, and the green outside. Write in advance. Letters are collected twice a week. A request sent the day before will not be seen in time. Telephone 01669 000000 during advertised hours.

Booked parties may also stand at the gated mouth of the training heading at Bank Top, on mornings when the men are not in. That visit is a separate arrangement from a Monday in the gallery, and is not offered on the same morning unless the desk says so. Visitors stand at the gate. They do not go in. The Class still uses the heading; see the Class and Mining.

We do not take bookings for the inn while it is closed, for beds outside the parish, or for any landing or ferry. Groups wishing to use the Village Hall should write separately. Sunday tea does not need a booking and is not held for groups as a private sitting; it is the ordinary tea of the village, and visitors are welcome at it.

Please write to the centre rather than to committee members at home, except in connection with groups already arranged through the desk. See booking and Opening Hours.
