Paths

Paths are Mr J. Robson’s responsibility on the committee. Reports of missing markers may be left at the centre. Replacement is slow, as replacement of such things is. Forestry operations have taken at least one post that we know of, which is the forest doing its work.

The main line and the eastern continuation were last walked on 11 October 2005, by Mrs Hedley and Mr Robson. Two markers were missing after the second stile. The board presently prefers the main trail for a first visit. The main line remains open in the sense already stated, and it is the walk we are proudest of.

This is not a report of every ride in the forest. Other paths toward the Kielder edge are maintained by other bodies, and they are a larger network than the parish. See the forest and the committee.
