Interfaces with adjoining land
- Village Hall
- Same complex. Shared tap, WCs, bins, parking. Mixed use on Gathering day. The hall is not a camp building.
- The green
- Not camping land. Kept for walking. Cars are not to park on it. No physical barrier between hall parking and the green.
- Heritage Centre
- Bookings, key, and the outer board. Not on this landholding. Hours of the desk are the hours of control.
- Forestry
- Adjoins at the tree end. Rides begin there. No agreement on the file for access, fire, or tree work.
- Kielder Water
- Not adjoining. A neighbouring day out, administered separately. No landing or ferry is offered from this field. Out of scope.
- Other camps
- A scout camp on the north shore of the water is outside this review. It is not this field and is not run by this operator.
The principal interface risk is the Gathering, when the hall, the field, and the green are under simultaneous pressure and the operator’s ordinary rules (cars at the hall, no camping on the green, tea inside) are hardest to keep. No stewarding plan for that day was produced.
