Environmental health and water quality
No complaint of noise, smoke, or waste was on the Environmental Health file. The field is away from dwellings other than the hall and the houses of the village beyond the green. At present volumes a statutory nuisance is unlikely. The gaps are provision and control, not recorded nuisance.
- Drinking water: see the hall tap. No sample. No ‘not drinking water’ mark either, because the tap is an ordinary kitchen tap.
- Grey water: no gully. Risk of soakaway at the tree line if washing-up water is thrown on the grass.
- Foul drainage: hall drainage was not opened. It is assumed to be a private system or a connection appropriate to a small hall. Camping load at six tents is small by day and is zero by night when the WCs are locked, which simply moves the problem.
- Refuse: hall bins. No evidence of fly-tipping on the walkover. Out of season the field was clean.
- Smoke: fires are prohibited. Stoves remain. No recorded complaint.
- Food: no shop on the green. No camp shop. Not an EH food issue on this landholding.
A full EH inspection under a future licence would re-test water, drainage, and refuse as conditions, not as a narrative.
