Sanitation
There is no chemical disposal point. There are no toilets on the field. The two WCs inside the hall are available when the hall is open. They are not reserved for campers, are not signed from the field, and are not lit as an external route. After 20:00 they are not available unless a person already has the key, which is not issued to campers as a matter of course.
| Provision | On the field | At the hall (when open) | After 20:00 |
|---|---|---|---|
| WCs | None | Two, shared | Not available |
| Wash-hand basin | None | With the WCs | Not available |
| Showers | None | None | None |
| Chemical disposal | None | None | None |
| Dedicated camper sanitary block | None | None | None |
The nearest chemical point known to Environmental Health is at Kielder, not in this parish. Falstone is the practical village for other services. Distances were not measured on the road. Persons using tents without their own chemical toilet have, on this field, no lawful sanitary provision for a full night. The operator does not advertise showers or a disposal point, which is accurate. Accuracy of description does not discharge the 1936 Act.
Finding 5 — sanitation
A season of public camping without a sanitary provision that can be used at night is a material breach of the conditions the Authority applies elsewhere. This is the principal facilities gap.
